For most of my life, I have been an avid reader of nonfiction, so it only made sense that I began my editing career in this genre over a dozen years ago. I understand the importance balance between accuracy and charisma in nonfiction writing. An important part of my role in editing nonfiction is to maintain the style, relatability, and readability of the content the author wishes to convey—in other words, conveying the facts in such a way that the reader becomes invested in your topic.
